In the spotlight today is Lyle, Lyle Crocodile. The musical made its debut in theaters last year. Now it’s premiering on Netflix. The live action film was adapted from Bernard Waber’s classic children’s book, Lyle, the Crocodile.
The film stars Shawn Mendes as Lyle the Crocodile. He’s a crocodile who can sing adopted by a showman in New York. After being abandoned by the showman for not bringing him success, he is adopted by the Primm family. Then his story really begins.

When the Primm family moves to New York City, their young son Josh struggles to adapt to his new school and new friends. All of that changes when he discovers Lyle — a singing crocodile who loves baths, caviar and great music — living in the attic of his new home. But when Lyle’s existence is threatened by evil neighbor Mr. Grumps, the Primms must band together to show the world that family can come from the most unexpected places.
