Bodybuilder, Hollywood icon and politician, Arnold Schwarzenegger is one of the most recognizable people on the face of the earth. In the Arnold trailer from Netflix, we get an intimate look at the man who has seem to live many lives in one lifetime.

As a child, I first saw Schwarzenegger in Conan The Barbarian. And, yes, I saw it on VHS. For many of us it was the beginning of a beautiful movie friendship. He was the man/robot we wanted to be when aliens came to Earth, robots wanted to take over or spies invading our country. He was a true action star. Due to these movies, we learned more about his bodybuilding years.

Schwarzenegger is widely regarded as one of the greatest bodybuilders of all time. He went on to win Mr. Universe at age 20. In addition, he won the the Mr. Olympia title seven times. After appearing in Pumping Iron, starred in Conan the Barbarian. This is the role that kicked off his career. Leading to the Terminator movies, Predator, Commando, Total Recall, Twins, Kindergarten Cop, True Lies and many more. In the 2000s, he began his political career serving as governor of California from 2003 to 2011. After that, he resumed acting.

In the new docuseries, Schwarzenegger recalls his remarkable journey from Austria to the US. Along with candid interviews from his friends, foes, co-stars and observers, we get a clearer picture of the man and his larger than life persona. They all discuss is pumping iron days, acting career and his time governing the state of California. By the same token, they discuss the joys and turbulence of his personal life.

The three part docuseries, Arnold, premieres on Netflix on June 7, 2023. In the meantime, Schwarzenegger stars in his first TV series, FUBAR, on Netflix on May 25, 2023.
