In an alternate world, bubble rained downed. They have overrun the world and caused gravitational abnormalities. Cut off from the outside world, Tokyo has become a playground for a group of young people who have lost their families. They have turned the land into a battleground for parkour team battles.
As they leap from building to building across the skyline of Tokyo, we meet Hibiki. Hibiki is a young ace known for his dangerous play style. One day he makes a reckless move and plummets into the gravity-bending sea. There he is saved by a Uta, a girl with mysterious powers who appears suddenly. The pair hear a unique sound only audible to them. Why did Uta appear before Hibiki? Their encounter leads to a revelation that will change the world.
Bubble is the latest work of Gen Urobuchi, a renowned anime writer known for Psycho-Pass, Fate/Zero and Puella Magi Madoka Magica. It is directed by Attack on Titan’s Tetsuro Araki, with character designs from Death Note illustrator Takeshi Obata. Japanese singer-songwriter Eve, known for his work on Jujutsu Kaisen, will perform the main theme song. The trailer boasts rich visuals and superb animation from WIT Studio, known for producing the first three seasons of Attach on Titan.
