About House of Dragon

House of the Dragon is a prequel to Game of Thrones. It is based on George R.R. Martin’s book, “Fire & Book” which is set 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones. It tells the story of the House of Targaryen.

The House of the Dragon teaser features footage from the highly anticipated seres with show’s cast members. Cast members include:

Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen

Princess Rhaenyra is played by Emma D’Arcy. She is the king’s first born child and is a dragonrider. Many would say she was born with everything. But she was not born a man.

Prince Daemon Targaryen

Prince Daemon is played by Matt Smith. He is the younger brother to King Viserys and heir to the throne. He is a warrior and dragonrider that possess the true blood of the dragon.

King Viserys Targaryen

King Viserys is played by Paddy Considine. He was chosen by the lords of Westeros to succeed the old king, Jaehaerys Targaryen, at the Great Council at Harrenhal. He is a warm, kind man who wishes to carry forward his grandfather’s legacy.

Lord Corlys Velaryon (“The Sea Snake”)

Lord Coryls Velaryon is played by Steve Toussaint. Lord Coryls is the Lord of House Velaryon. He is the most famed nautical adventurer in the history of Westeros. He claims the largest navy in the world and is richer than the Lannisters.

Alicent Hightower

Alicent Hightower is played by Olivia Cooke. She is the daughter of Otto Hightower and one of the most attractive women in the Seven Kingdoms. While being raised close to the king and his inner circle, she became an expert at making political decisions.

Otto Hightower

Otto Hightower is played by Rhys Ifans. He is known as The Hand of the King. Otto loyally and faithfully serves his king and his realm. As he sees it, the greatest threat to the realm is Prince Daemon and his position as heir to the throne.

Princess Rhaenys Targaryen

Princess Rhaenys is played by Eve Best. She is a dragonrider and wife of Lord Coryls. “The Queen Who Never Was” was passed over as heir to the throne. The Great Council favored her cousin, Viserys, because he was a male.

Ser Criston Cole

Criston Cole is played by Fabien Frankel. Cole has no claim to land or titles because he was common born. But he is gifted with a sword. His father was the steward to the Lord of Blackhaven.

Mysaria

Mysaria is played by Sonoya Mizuno. She came to Westeros with nothing. She grew to become the most trusted ally of Prince Daemon.
