Knock at the Cabin Trailer
What would you do if you had the choice? Would you save your family or save humanity? This is the question proposed by new trailer Knock at the Cabin. Knock at the Cabin is the latest twisted adventure from M. Night Shyamalan. From the looks of the trailer, fans will be rushing to the theaters when it’s released this coming February.
What is Knock at the Cabin About?
The movie is based on the book, The Cabin at the End of the World by Paul Tremblay. Just as in the book, a young girl and her two father take a vacation in the woods. After spending some time together, the family encounters a group of four led by Leonard. Leonard and his crew subdue the family and hold them hostage. He announces that the family must make an unthinkable choice.
“You see, the four of us have a very important job to do, in fact, it might be the most important job in the history of the world. We were called and are united by a common vision which is now become a command that we cannot ignore. The four of us are here to prevent the apocalypse. Your family has been chosen to make a horrible decision. If you fail to choose, the world will end.”
Leonard (Dave Bautista)
Their family is the key to ending the apocalypse. With limited access to the outside world, they family must choose to believe the story is true, risk loosing their family or both.
This terrifying premise is well suited for the director. With the alien thriller Signs and the aging beach of Old under his belt, Shyamalan is the obvious choice for this adaptation. Not to mention, the creepy baby series Servant on Apple TV+.
Who’s in Knock at the Cabin?
WWE pro-wrestler turned actor, Dave Bautista, plays Leonard. His most notable role is Drax in Guardians of the Galaxy. Rounding out the cult quartet are Rupert Grint (Harry Potter, Servant), Nikki Amuka-Bird (Persuasion, Old) and Abby Quinn (Little Women, Landline).
The two fathers are played by Jonathan Groff (Hamilton, The Matrix Resurrections) and Ben Aldridge (Pennyworth, Fleabag). And introducing Kristen Cui as Wen.
