Legendary Season 3 Trailer
About Legendary Season 3
The Emmy-nominated unscripted series, Legendary, continues season 3 with a new judge and fierce competition. Pulling from the underground ballroom community, voguing teams, aka houses, must compete in order to achieve “legendary” status.
Ballrooms were created by Crystal LaBeija, a Black transgender woman, in the late 1970s New York. The show introduces viewers to the LGBTQ ball scene what was popular in New York City in the 1980s and beyond.
It takes viewers back to the roots of those performances. If you’ve watched FX’s Pose, you’re familiar with the New York ballroom scene. It combines the aspects of “Pose” into a reality competition show.
Each week houses are pitted again each other in balls to win a grand prize of $100,000. The houses are judged on skill, style and stamina. Dashaun Wesley will return and the host and MC for the show. Deshaun is an actor, choreographer and dancer.
The judges will return this season; voguing legend Leiomy Maldonado, actress Jameela Jamil and fashion stylist Law Roach. Former judge, Megan Thee Stallion will not return for season 3. There hasn’t been any reports of why Megan chose not to return for season 3. Her career is exploding so there is speculation that she is focusing on her career.
Replacing her as judge is KeKe Palmer. She makes her debut in the show’s season 3 trailer. Among the the permanent judges, the show will also feature guest judges. In the past years, guest judges have included Kelly Rowland, Bob the Drag Queen, Anitta, Issa Rae, Leslie Jones and Pose’s Elektra.
