The year 2024 is shaping up to be a year of franchise sequels. Returning animated movies will include Despicable Me, Kung Fu Panda and Inside Out. Your favorite superheroes will return as well with followups to Captain America, Deadpool and Spider-Man. Rounding out the sequels are Joker, Lord of the Rings, A Quiet Place, Mission Impossible and Planet of the Apes.
But not to be left out are a few nostalgic surprises. In 1996, Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton stormed into theaters with the release of Twister. Now, 28 years later, a new generation of storm chasers takes the wheel. If it’s anything like the first one, expect non-stop, edge of your seat action.
Another classic is making a comeback to theaters. I’ll give you a hint. Say his name 3 times and he will appear. You guessed it Beetlejuice. Michael Keaton steps back into this iconic role with some familiar faces from the 1988 movie.
