Secret Invasion Teaser

Today was Day 2 of Disney’s D23. The day focused primary on upcoming Marvel and Star Wars movies and TV shows. One of the highlights of the day was the teaser for Disney+’s new series, Secret Invasion, coming in 2023.

Samuel L. Jackson reprises his role as Nick Fury as well as Ben Mendelsohn as the Skrull Talos. Don Cheadle is back as James “Rhodey” Rhodes, Cobie Smulders returns as Maria Hill.

The series take place after the events of Captain Marvel. In the movie, Nick Fury and Talos meet on Earth while Talos and his family are seeking refuge. They are searching for a new home. We also find out how Fury lost his eye.

Since then Fury has been working with the Skrulls in deep space for years. The Skrulls are shapeshifting aliens from the planet Kree. They have discovered a faction amongst their people who have infiltrated all aspects of life on Earth. Maria Hill has been trying to call Fury to come back to Earth to help, but he’s finally back. Now the only person standing in the Skrulls way is Nick Fury.

The show will debut on Disney+ in Spring 2023 and will be comprised of six episodes.

As you can see from the trailer, this series looks much darker than previous Disney+ shows. It will dive deeper into Fury’s past and future. And we will get a chance to see another side of the badass Avenger.

It’s going to be an exciting thriller. You’re never going to know who people are — are they a Skrull or are they human.
