Shooting Stars Teaser
Peacock recently released the first teaser trailer for Shooting Stars featuring the early days of NBA superstar, LeBron James.
The film is based on the book by LeBron James and the Pulitzer Prize winning author of Friday Night Lights, Buzz Bissinger. It’s the inspiring origin story of a basketball superhero, Lebron James revealing how he and his childhood friends become the #1 high school team in the country, launching James’s breathtaking career as a four-time NBA Champion, two-time Olympic Gold Medalist and the NBA’s all-time leading scorer.
Shooting Stars in set in the 1990s, where James and his friends, Lil Dru, Willie McGee and Sian Cotton declare themselves the “Fab Four,” after the famed Michigan Wolverines’ “Fab Five” of that era. Under the guidance of Dru Joyce, they are connected by more than just basketball. Soon the quartet becomes separated playing for different team. But their bond is more important than anything.
Throughout their journey, the boys face battles not on on the court, but in real life in their quest to become champs. In the midst of this, they rediscover what it matters most.
