The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special Trailer
Recently unwrapped was Marvel Special Presentation: The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special trailer premiering this month on Disney+. As with the other Guardians of the Galaxy, it looks like fun. This misfit crew is perfect to get you in the holiday spirit.
What is it About?
After losing Gamora at the end of Avengers: Infinity War and technically again at the end of Avengers: Endgame, Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) becomes depressed. She was the love of his life. Seeing his poor mood, his friends concoct a plan to cheer him up. Led by Drax (Dave Bautista) and Mantis (Pim Klementieff), they plot a course for Earth to find Quill the perfect gift since it’s Christmas. That perfect gift is Kevin Bacon. As referenced in the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie, Kevin Bacon is Quill’s all-time favorite hero. When Drax and Mantis arrive at Bacon’s house, the holiday adventure begins.
The movie brings the entire cast back together including Rocket (Bradley Cooper), Groot (Vin Diesel), Nebula (Karen Gillan) and Kraglin (Sean Gunn). There’s even a special appearance by Cosmo the Spacedog in the trailer.
Director James Gunn notes that the special is a must watch before Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 coming to theaters in May 2023. He also emphasized that the special presentation is a part of Marvel’s phase 4. It arrives after Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and before Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
Expect to see tons of holiday decorations, shenanigans, hijinx and emotion. The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special arrives on your TV screen exclusively on Disney+ on November, 25, 2022.
