HBO recently announced the development of a series for The Last of Us coming to HBO and HBO Max. The show is based on the video game by Sony.
About The Series
The series takes place twenty years after modern civilization has been destroyed. A survivor, Joel, has been hired to smuggle a 14 year old girl, Ellie, out of a quarantine zone. What starts off as a small job, becomes a brutal heartbreaking journey. They both must criss-cross the U.S. and depend on each other to survive.

Behind the scenes
The series will be written and produced by Craig Mazin (HBO’s Chernobyl) and Neil Druckmann (The Last of Us and Uncharted video game franchises). The series will also receive help from the original game developer, Naughty Dog and Playstation’s Productions’ Asad Qizilbash and Carter Swan.
