Transformers: EarthSpark Trailer
As an 80s kid, I loved watching the Transformers cartoon growing up. It was something different than the normal superhero and other cartoons of the time. With the reboot of movies in the 2000s, I felt like a kid again. Now, Paramount+ brings Transformers to a new generation of kids.
What is Transformers: EarthSpark About?
Paramount recently released the Transformers: EarthSpark trailer featuring Alan Tudyk (Resident Alien) as Optimus Prime and Danny Pudi (Community) as Bumblebee. In the show, a young boy, Robby Malto, is adjusting to his new life after moving from Philadelphia to the small town of Witwiky, Pennsylvania. Like many big city kids living in a small town, they feel there isn’t anything to do.
But Witwicky proves to be “more than meets the eye.” While out exploring, Sydney and his younger sister, Morgan “Mo” Malto, stumble upon a cave. In the cave, they encounter a strange object. Upon touching it, the pair are given mysterious robotic cyber-sleeves that bring to live Twitch and Thrash. They are the first Transformers to be born on Earth. The cyber-sleeves bond the siblings to the newly born Transformers and they are adopted into the Malto family.
Now working with Megatron and the secret human organization G.H.O.S.T., the Autobots enlist the help of the Maltos. Rogue Decepticons are at large reeking havoc and they must be stopped. Mentored by Bumblebee, the Maltos must work together to keep each other safe and find their place in the world.
Judging from the trailer, if you loved the show as a kid, then I’m sure your kids or grandkids will love this show. Besides Optimus Prime and Bumblebee, the trailer features other classic characters such as Sound Wave, Arcee and Wheeljack. As with the 80s cartoon, expect to see tons of toys in stores based on the characters this holiday season.
Watch Transformers: EarthSpark exclusively on Paramount+ on November 22, 2022.
