Verdict premieres on Prime Video on April 15, 2022 staring Camila Morgado as criminal lawyer Heloísa.

Heloísa is a renowned criminal lawyer from São Paulo. She believes that everyone has the right to a defense, no matter how heinous the crime they are accused of. She has a deep understanding of the complexity of the prison system and the Brazilian system. Unfortunately, the system abandons so many without proper assistance.

A shocking crime happens in Brazil and the killer asks Heloísa to be her lawyer. She soon finds herself in the middle of a trap that involves the leader of the largest criminal faction in Brazil. And many want him dead.

Meanwhile, Heloísa must deal with a childhood drama buried in her memory. This memory could reveal a painful family secret. In search for the truth of what happened in her client’s case, she must now search for the mysteries of her own family’s crimes. The family’s crime involves one of the people she loves the most being a victim of the Brazilian penitentiary system.

She must decide whether to cross the line that separates her between looking for justice or committing an unforgivable crime.
